InFlight Emergency Medical and Defibrillator Training (1 Day) AirCare's intensive one-day InFlight Emergency Medical and Defibrillator Training provides the crewmember with what they need to know to properly assess, treat, and care for ill or injured crew and passengers until higher levels of ground-based assistance is available. The program trains practical, useful, first aid skills with considerations of time, space, and the altitudes in corporate aircraft. Hands-on emergency medical procedures are practiced either in the client's aircraft or one of the FACTS full-size, full motion, cockpit and cabin emergency procedures simulator. Course Description InFlight Emergency Medical and Defibrillator Training (1 Day) For pilots, flight engineers and flight attendants. The intensive one-day (8 hrs) training program is designed specifically for aircraft crewmembers. The training program follows best medical practices, nationally accepted training programs, and industry standards for the care of in-flight medical problems, including O.S.H.A. bloodborne pathogen requirements, CPR and the use of automatic external defibrillators (AEDs). The program includes lecture, demonstration and ample hands-on emergency medical practice in the corporate aircraft environment. Training Includes O.S.H.A. Bloodborne Pathogens Patient Assessment Crew Coordination Altitude Considerations CPR FBAO/Choking Defibrillation (AED) Common InFlight Medical Problems Includes emergency crew resource management and coordinating assistance from ground-based assistance service providers. On-Site Training is available at the client's facility or at any FACTS® Training class throughout the U.S. |
