FACTS SOS™ Training Ditching & Open Water Survival Training FACTS® Training has been providing emergency training for pilots, flight engineers, flight attendants and executives for over twenty years. FACTS programs focus on the hands-on skills necessary to build confidence, manage and survive emergencies, including aircraft evacuations, ditchings, and survival in extreme environments. Survival skills and emergency procedures are practiced using typical emergency and survival equipment found aboard the corporate aircraft. Hands-on exercises are conducted in the pool, the dunker, and open water. A FACTS certificate of training is issued to those crewmembers successfully completing the program. Ditching & Open Water Survival Training (2 Days) For professional crewmembers on any aircraft. An intensive two days (20+ hrs) of emergency procedures and survival training in the classroom, pool, and the open water, including day and night open water training and survival. Training Curriculum Includes: DAY 1 Planning, Preparation and Practice ASSET™ Aircraft Survey - Optional Cold/Warm Water Survival Survival Equipment Rescue Raft Exercise (Open Water) Night Sea Survival (Open Water) DAY 2 Rescue Resources AMVERS Inverted/Submerged Aircraft Emergencies Underwater Egress Training Water Exercises: Underwater Egress Dunker Exercises (Pool) This intensive two-day open water training is conducted in water bodies near your flight department (subject to availability). The comprehensive training program can be customized for the client's aircraft type, specific equipment, operations; and, can often times be coordinated with a variety local emergency services providers, e.g., Coast Guard, Law Enforcement, Fire/Rescue, etc. to compliment the training, and to provide the students with "real-life" rescue situations. The training includes hands-on drills in the classroom, the pool, and the open-water, using aviation-specific equipment and procedures to increase survivability in water survival emergencies. |
