Gulfstream Evacuation Crewmember Training The FACTS® Gulfstream Evacuation Crewmember Training program is an 8-hour training program designed to meet the requirements for including a trained person aboard Gulfstream G500/550 aircraft, with ten or more passengers. The FACTS Gulfstream Evacuation Crewmember training includes classroom presentations, discussions, and hands-on practice with emergency equipment, elliptical exit operations, passenger handling, evacuation procedures, and documented aircraft-specific familiarization. Successful completion will qualify the participant to act as the Evacuation Crewmember aboard the G500/550, per the aircraft operations and certification requirements. At the completion of our training, students will have a thorough understanding of:
Utilizing the FACTS Emergency Procedures Simulator(s), participants learn the skills to operate and open the typical Gulfstream elliptical exits, command and direct evacuations in the most realistic training device available, and work together as a "crew" to evacuate the aircraft without risking injury or damage to the aircraft during the drills. Once exit operations, emergency equipment and evacuation drills are practiced, aircraft and configuration-specific familiarization is accomplished aboard the client's aircraft. This is documented using the FACTS ASSET™ (Aircraft Specific Survey and Equipment Training) checklist. Combining the classroom training with simulator drills, aircraft videos, and onboard ASSET™ checklists completes the training... cost-effectively and time-efficiently. The trained Evacuation Crewmember should be considered an asset to the safety of flight. FAQS: "Do we have to open our emergency exits on our aircraft?" NO, by utilizing the FACTS emergency procedures simulator you will have the opportunity to become familiar with Gulfstream exit operations and egress procedures without the risk of damage to the aircraft. "Does this training meet the requirements for configuration-specific training?" Using the simulator for drills, followed by completion of the ASSET™ checklist, meets the aircraft and configuration-specific requirements for the evacuation crewmember. "What if the aircraft is not available at the time of the training program?" After all other portions of the training are completed, a designated flight crewmember may conduct the aircraft familiarization and ASSET™ checklist when the aircraft becomes available. This documentation must be provided to FACTS prior to the issuance of completion certificates. "Can we do the training aboard the aircraft instead of using the FACTS simulator?" Yes, however, this will require numerous exit openings, overwing evacuations, and use of emergency equipment. Training aboard the aircraft does incur some risk of damage to door seals, woodwork, etc. Most flight departments would rather use the simulator than risk any damage to the aircraft. |
